Very light period: It is common for a woman to start her period 2-5 days after stopping the pill or nuvaring. Also it often happens that over time the periods get lighter and lighter while on NuvaRing or bcp. If there is not very much blood coming out it can be thick and even dry appearing. I'm not sure what you mean by having unprotected sex, but if you're concerned about pregnancy check a pregnancy test.
