Likely: Doctors who provide abortions do not do that to terminate pregnancies. They are as committed to the health of women as any body else. They are doing the procedure to provide a medical service to women who often have few choices and resources. It is understandable that many people have religious objections to the procedure, but most of them have not been in the shoes of women in need of care.

I can't speak for: them. My guess would be that if it saves the life of the mother that is may be gratifying. I would think it could be very anxiety provoking for any physicians who work in abortion clinics if they receive threats or other forms of intimidation.
