Be glad: This is a time when you must, above everything else, refrain from critizing her. Remember that drugs and alcohol make people not be themselves. Be ready for initial disappointment. Say, 'i love it when you...' and 'remember you said you would...' go with her to sessions. Never be too busy for her. Be ready for weird stuff. If you can love unconditionally and not enable, you are truly blessed.
