Missed pills: Oral contraceptive pills are a highly effective form of birth control. Missed pills are a common cause of failure of contraception with ocps. If a single pill is missed anywhere in the packet, you should take the forgotten pill when noticed. The next pill is taken when it is due. This might mean taking two pills in the same day. No additional contraceptive measures are required.

Forgetting????: An 18 year old rarely has simple lapses in memory in something as important as taking contraception pills. You have to consider that there may be some conflicts in the back of your mind that are putting yourself in the position of becoming pregnant. You have to think through the implications of this behavior. Sometimes psychotherapy may be helpful here.
