I'm reading that freshly ejaculated sperm will not be able to penetrate egg but sperm from 5 days before will, is this true ?

Misreading Data: Something is not connecting. Freshly ejaculated sperm have to swim through the vagina, into the cervix, into and up through the whole uterus and then out the fallopian tubes to meet a 'readied' egg. If the sperm from five days earlier are already there the new sperm may not win the race to impregnate an egg.

No: The fresher the better (in terms of fertilization). 5 day old sperm will be dead.
