Moderate chance: If intercourse were random and only once in a cycle, then the chance of pregnancy is on average 3%. But it's not truly random. Intercourse is more likely to happen to happen when a woman is more likely to be fertile. So the chances could be up to 20% or even higher. Women can learn to observe cervical fluid and other fertility biomarkers to know how likely pregnancy is on any day.
