Perianal itching: Dietary factors and fecal soilage account for the majority of patients with anal itching, or pruritus. Coffee, cola, beer, tea, tomatoes, and citrus fruits are some possible dietary irritants. Other less common causes include anorectal diseases (hemorrhoids, fistulas, fissures), infections (including sexually-transmitted ones), or skin diseases, such as psoriasis.

It could be: Sometimes hemorrhoids get itchy although they are usually not painful. The most common cause of pain to that area is called a fissure, which is a small tear in the lining of the anal canal. You can try putting Hydrocortisone ointment on it but if it doesn't clear up in a day or two you should see your doctor.
