Torticollis: A benign. If painful disorder of the neck. You need local heat, a muscle relxer and physical therapy.

Sprain/Strain: This is probably an acute sprain/strain of the neck (cervical spine). Apply moist heat and take tylenol, (acetaminophen) advil or aleve. If it persists, see a doctor.
