No relationship, : Astigmatism is, in basic terminology, irregularity to the cornea surface. The cornea is the clear dome in front of the eye and the major refractive (light bending) surface of the eye. If the spherical shape of the cornea (either anterior or posterior surface) is abnormal, then the image projected is distorted. Astigmatism may also be induced by your natural lens as well.
