Avoid in general: Zoloft/sertraline in general is a safe medication. That said, it should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. The maximum daily dose is 200 mg. If you take large amounts of zoloft in combination with other serotonin medications, you could have a case of a rare but life-threatening condition called serotonin syndrome.

Wanting to Die?: Did you do this as a suicide attempt? What prompted you to take 'so much' zoloft (sertraline) at once? Did you feel differently or have any other consequences when you did this? Have you told your physician who prescribes this for you that you did this? We find that many people seem willing to share in an anonymous way these episodes of despair. It may be easier than asking for help in person. Please ask.
