Which are some pros and cons of an insulin pump?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lifestyle: Hi. Pumps are purely a lifestyle decision. All the cost & technology of a pump can't do anything for your control you can't do just as well with Lantus (insulin glargine) & Novolog/Humalog/Apidra. You have to test your BG just as much. To me, a CGM is far more beneficial for control, and if it comes to one to the other (pump vs. CGM), I say CGM hands down. The only CGM worth having is Dexcom. The Medtronic CGM sucks
