Alcohol: If you have a history of chronic, heavy alcohol use, you may need to be detoxified in a hospital. Encourage you to become involved with alcoholics anonymous (aa). It is free, confidential, supportive and can be very effective. Additionally, consider working with an addiction medicine specialist or an addiction psychiatrist.
