Allergy testing: Why not see an allergist and get tested to see what you may be allergic to. You can also decide to treat yourself with allergy medications prior to traveling there.

Curious: I treated a patient with allergies who lived in Barbados. He got sick every time he went back, but seemed to get better with time. Interesting, in the tropics, they have at least five different types of dust mites, and his allergy test to the two we had here in the states was very high. Also don't forget about mold allergy. And, of course, beware of pets living there - they tend to roam anywhere!
