I have hives appearing mysteriously, what should i do to treat?

Antihistamines: Allergy medications, typically antihistamines such as Zyrtec, Allegra, Claritin and Benadryl, (diphenhydramine) can be very helpful for hives. They can be used to treat hives that exist, but in other ways they can be used to prevent hives from appearing. I typically recommend Zyrtec 10mg taken twice daily to help suppress hives. This is slightly higher than usual dosing, but can be very effective. Take care.
