Forever: 3% hydrogen peroxide does not whiten teeth, and if you gargle with it, it is barely even touching the enamel surface. If you really, truly want to whiten your teeth, have them cleaned professionally by a dentist first, then use otc pharmacy whitening strips if your budget does not allow for professional application.

A long time: There are many better, faster and safer ways to lighten your teeth. Working nights with a dentist will provide the best results. Remember that fillings, crowns, ano decayed teeth will not lighten.
