Bacterial vaginosis: The most common causes of vaginal odor from discharge is bacterial vaginosis (commonly referred to gardnerella vaginitis), and trichomonas. Yeast typically does not cause an odor but can travel with the other infections. These are easily diagnosed by an office exam and test.
