A member asked:

So if a man and a women have chlymidia w. out knowing & have sex 6 days before ovulation can she still become pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chlamydia and pregna: Quick answer, no. Chlamydia can be a cause of infertility for men and women. However, sperm could not survive 6 days in the vagina or cervix. If intercourse really occurred six days prior to ovulation, the sperm will not be able to penetrate your cervical mucus to get inside the uterus. Sperm will live 48 hours in the cervical mucus. At ovulation the mucus changes to let the sperm swim through it.
