No: Coughing comes from deeper part of your throat than where the rinse is expected to reach. Stopping of cough while using listerine can happen coincidentally, but listerine does not stop coughs. However, keeping the mouth clean is important so that the germs in your mouth won't infect the already irritated throat tissue from coughing. If coughing persists, see a doctor; it is not normal.
