Wait another week: Many herniated discs like what sounds like what you are having will resolve on its own in a few days to weeks. If you are still in a lot of pain and anti-inflammatories are not helping or if you notice numbness/weakness presenting itself then seek medical care to evaluate this further.

Yes, get checked out: Often, the usual back sprain/strain gets better in about 2 wks with some resting/stretching and meds such as motrin/aleve etc... However, your trouble has gotten worse with radiation to your leg suggesting possible disc herniation. Call doc today. I recommend taking it easy for now--no heavy lifting or extranuous activities until you got evaluated by your physician. Some Motrin may help. Good luck.
