Yes: Its not the fizz that's bad it's the sugars. I recommend that you do not swish soft drinks and rinse with plain water after drinking.

Fizzy sugary drinks: If you want a soda fine, drink it in 10-15 minutes and be done with it. Then rinse with water. Swishing and sipping all day long lavages the teeth with acids from the sugars the fizz has carbonic and chemistry that attacks you teeth too. Persistent sipping overwhelms you body's buffers and neutralizers in you saliva. This leads to ' bad' teeth. For women it also wrecks your calcium in your body.

Yes it's: Well documented that sodas and many other sugary / acidic drinks including many energy drinks are bad for your teeth. Moderation is the key word here and good oral hygiene. And frequent dental check ups. Hope this helps.
