Minoxidil : Minoxidil is used locally for hair loss. It is applied topically to the head and will result in hair growth. Surprisingly initially it was used for blood pressure. In those patients who used the medicine, a side effect noted was hair gain on the head. I do not know of any relation to weight loss. Good luck.
