Minoxidil : Minoxidil is used locally for hair loss. It is applied topically to the head and will result in hair growth. Surprisingly initially it was used for blood pressure. In those patients who used the medicine, a side effect noted was hair gain on the head. I do not know of any relation to weight loss. Good luck.

Health Tap: It may be best to ask for a private consolation if you want to have a question from a specific doctor. We have no control on when this doctor will sign on or have time to give free service. In general there would be no weight loss issues with this topical medication.
