Multiple sessions: Laser hair removal is not a one time treatment. Hair that will be removed must be in the proper growth 'cycle' to be sensitive. Hairs go through stages of rest and of active growth. Only those active are susceptible to laser removal. This means a series of treatments are most common to accomplish your goals.
