Multiple options: Treatment depends upon the exact nature of the scar, its location and what prior treatments have been tried. Options may be as simple as injections of medicines that "dissolve" scar tissue to surgical removal of the scar followed by use of radiation treatments that help prevent recurrence. Compression of the scar, if feasible, can also improve it and is often used after surgery.
