Yes: In the acute phase(ie. Right after a bad head injury), it can lead to death. If you are talking about a slower (weeks to months) increase over time, for example with a brain tumor, it can lead to focal neurologic deficits such as weakness, speech problems, seizures-depending on its location in the brain.
