Pain out proportion : Blood cut of to intestines is rare, however most patients have pain out of proportion to exam. A ctscan may show the blockage or a study where they inject contrast into the artery of the intestine and look for a blockage. It requires a high index of suspicion. A clot, or blockage or generalized low blood flow has to occur. Treatment is surgery or blood thinner.
