Please tell me the difference between sertraline and sertraline hcl?

Sertraline : Sertraline hcl is the name of the compound in the tablet. When you take the tablet, the hcl part is cleaved off and you are left with sertraline in your stomach which is eventually absorbed and then metabolized by your liver into other compounds before it comes out in your stool.
