A member asked:

Could colchicins be used to kill tumours?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bad choice: Colchicine is a microtubule poison and interferes with cells that are dividing. Despite "pop" wisdom, even the fastest-growing cancers grow much more slowly than some of the normal cells you need to stay healthy, so colchicine's side-effects render it unsuitable. It would kill you long before it shrunk a cancer.
