Not normal: Periods should usually last no more than 7 days. Excessinve bleeding could mean you have a polyp or fibroid that can usually be diagnosed by ultrasound. The main reason for long periods is lack of ovulation. The bleeding can continue for long periods and you can become anemic. Check with your doctor.
