The cause: A cardiomyopathy is a term indicating a weak heart with impaired function. Your question is using a different nomenclature than used by cardiologists. Cardiomyopathy are classified as systolic dysfunction with low ejection fraction. Diastolic dysfxn with a preserved ejection fraction but a stiff heart. They can be idiopathic with unknown cause, ischemic with CAD or caused by other diseases
