A member asked:

After two year evaluation lung nod with ct scan normal can i have mri once year after that to monitor my condition?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: It depends...If you want to follow the stability of a lung nodule, it's best to continue with the same modality (accurate comparison) and if the nodule is small, it may be too small to see with a chest mri. There may also be an advantage for a chest ct over an MRI depending on the reason it is being ordered such as cancer screening. I would talk it over with your doctor and radiologist.
