Tapering off Celexa (citalopram): It's unusual to have significant "withdrawl" from 10 mg of celexa (citalopram). I seriously wonder if there are other reasons for your unpleasant feelings. Serotonin syndrome is in and of itself fairly rare complication of abrupt ssri discontinuation and is even more rare when a gradual taper is done. I would drop to 5 mg daily x 1 week and if unable to stop then, to 2.5 mg x 1 week.

Probably Not : It is probably not withdrawal. Perhaps you are having anxiety symptoms that the Celexa was treating. If it is withdrawal you can go on a longer acting ssri like Prozac (fluoxetine) for awhile as a patch.
