White discharge: You may be having an overgrowth of yeast like organisms in the vagina, which can be normal or can cause trouble.

Varies: Yeast infection comes to mind first. Also not all vaginal infections have a foul odor. Drainage from a vaginal gland such as a bartholins could be the source also.
