A member asked:

Been on the pill for two years, stopped two weeks ago. had unprotected sex with partner multiple times, when should i test for pregnancy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If no period occurs: If no regular normal menstrual period occurs when one is expected, then one can check a urine pregnancy test. Done correctly, the test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex or 1 week after missing a period. If a regular normal period occurs, that means a woman is not pregnant at that time (so no test is needed at that time).
