Hiccups: Hiccups tends to be a spasm of your diaphragm. It can be from many things: esophagus (food pipe) not working right and exciting your diaphragm whenever food passes, a problems with your liver, the lining of your lung, basically any anatomic structure in contact with your diaphragm could cause it to spasm. A through exam ; work up of your swallow, breathing, etc may be needed. Common causes: spicy.
