Cardiac cath: A cardiac cath is a very common test and if done by an experienced cardiologist has very low risk. The risks are mainly bruising in the skin entry site, vessel damage, and rhythm disturbance. There are rarer risks also. The huge majority of people having the test however have no ill effects at all.
