Phenergan (promethazine): Is an irritant if injected quickly. It will get better in time but see a vascular surgeon for a doppler study.

Post iv phlebitis: Most likely the iv phenergan caused the the vein to clot and form a superficial thrombophlebitis. This clot could take a year or more to resolve. Moist heat to the area and ibuprofen may help. If not follow up with a vein specialist.
