A member asked:

I've been bleeding for 4 weeks now. birth control isn't helping and my blood is getting lower and lower. i need help?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See doctor: At age 23, then most common reasons for excess bleeding are 1) endometriosis or adenomyosis; 2) weight issues (thin/heavy); 3) thyroid problems; 4) vonwillebrand syndrome. Rarely a polyp or fibroid could be cause as well, an ultrasound could demonstrate. Regardless recommend seeing a physician as that is way too long to bleed for.
