Tolerance: If your son can drink nearly a case of beer then he has a big tolerance and the biggest problem if he is not sick is if he goes into the dts and seizes. Once again i think it is very dangerous for him not to be in a detox center where they can given him the right medication to prevent seizures and then to help him get dry enough to figure out he is an alcoholic.

Depends on situation: If he is alert, observation at a distance is fine.If stuperous, i would want to keep a pulse oximeter on him frequently. In alcohol poisoning they can hypo-ventilate to the point of hypoxia and may not wake up. If hypoxic, i would haul him to a facility where they could monitor him and ventilate him if needed.
