Warts: Efudex (5-fluorouracil), although not an acid, is another prescription ointment that can destroy wart tissue in a manner similar to chemotherapy for skin cancer. Doctor's can use liquid nitrogen. Otc salicylic acid is some tomes helpful.

There is no : Magic way, but there are many ways. You can try the over the counter topicals like salicylic acid, but be careful not to get it on normal skin. They hurt as they are growths that are being stepped on so the pressure is painful. You may want to see a podiatrist or dermatologist as they usually have a bag of tricks to get rid of these faster than you could on your own.

Seek a podiatrist: Plantars warts can be stubborn, and painful viral skin infections to treat. There are a lot of different treatment options, because no one way is best. They include medications and surgical options. Sometimes lasers are employed in treating them. Self care measures include use of duct tape over the warts, or use of over-the-counter medications. See a podiatrist if these measures don't work.

Warts: They cause pain because they are space occupying lesions that don't belong there. Yes , there are many methods to work on them . I use 2 - sal acid is very effective especially in kids , and a co2 laser . See your podiatrist for help - and don't do the duct tape thing as it will pull on normal skin too.

All the Doctors that have answered are correct. I sometimes will use Tagamet oral medication for resistant warts. Go see your PCP or Podiatrist.
