At age 53: The chances of pregnancy are getting quite low. Peri menopause can cause menstrual irregularity. I would recommend a home pregnancy test, however. As we age, pregnancy is much harder to maintain, since our eggs are not as healthy. "when in doubt, check it out!" be well.
