not ideal: Until a wound heals it should remain moist to allow for optimal healing without scarring. Ideally you will have the wound evaluated to see if it would benefit from being retreated with debridement and then allowed to heal properly.

See below: Generally speaking you don't want the wound to be completely dry as the dryness slows down the healing. The wound, if clean and not infected, should be moist for optimal healing to take place.
