Infant Nutrition: If your baby is consistently losing weight you should see your doctor. At 9 months her diet should still be mostly breast milk and/or infant formula (not cow's milk - do not give cow's milk until 12 months). Solids can help with weight gain but are not strictly necessary. Some children can't swallow solids well (rare) and may aspirate which may explain her stopping solids.
