See Pain Specialist: There are no known physical modalities that help with nerve type pain. Instead, i recommend seeing a pain specialist. He/she can perform a simple procedure called an epidural steroid injection that may be curative.

Sure.: Certain posture maneuvers, including the cat-camel stretch may provide some relief, espcially if the cause is root irritation. Long term core strengthening will also help to unload bulging disks and maintain foraminal openings. A pain specialist would gladly help you identify multiple approaches to resolving your sciatic symptoms. Identifying the underlying cause will help determine the plan.

Core Exercises: Typically core strengthening exercises are the best to help relieve pressure and forces in the spine. I would try and google some or look them up on youtube to see descriptions. If you can do them yourself, wonderful otherwise ask your doctor to get a referral to a good physical therapist for further assistance.
