Dangerous: Cinnamon is a caustic powder that contains cellulose. It can cause an immediate severe reaction and long term lung damage if inhaled. People who attempted the "cinnamon challenge" have required hospitalization after coughing and inhaling the powder. Those with cinnamon allergy, asthma, or other lung conditions risk death. http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/131/5/833.long.
