Neurological symptom: Pba is a secondary symptom to brain disorder (disease or injury) that reveals itself in eruptions of inappropriate laughing or crying. Some say it's like a seizure. Sometimes antidepressants are used, but side effects are a problem. Some people can benefit from cbt psychotherapy. The patient's overall level of functioning is critical to tx choice and outcome. Hope this helps.
