I have a lump under my skin under my arm and it hurts. i popped it and it hurts still. what could it be? is this serious? or not to worry?

A few possible: Answers are abscess (boil) which can happen spontaneously or precipitated by shaving, or if this has occurred before, this could be hidradenitis suppurativa which is a skin gland disorder typically causing abscess-like lesions under the skin in the underarm, groin and buttocks areas.

this could be: Inflammatory process or infection, get evaluated for proper treatment. Antibiotics or drainage may be needed depending on physical exam. Hope this helps.
