A member asked:

When to consider an adult and a baby is hyperthermic ? ( there temperature above the normal )

A doctor has provided 1 answer

98.6: 98.6 is the normal temperature for both adults and infants. Any temperature above this is technically hyperthermia. We don't usually worry about temperatures unless they are greater than 100.0. Children will often run low grade temperatures and is not usually anything to worry about, unless they are persistent, or associated with other symptoms.
