See an Oral Surgeon: How long has this pain/burn been going on. With no trauma or pimple on the end of tongue reported a good detailed examination and history should be gotten. Make an appointment with an oral surgeon and solve this dilemma that must hinder both your speaking and eating since your tongue is so involved in these essential activities. Find out what is going on.

Pain/burn: Need to be examined to determine cause/treatment. Will need to answer questions such as duration, intensity, type of pain, area affected, burn, etc. Smoking will continually irritate area. See your Dentist if does not disappear within 2 weeks from onset. In the meantime avoid hot/cold/spicy foods.
