not a simple cyst: The typical monthly cysts are usually simple follicles, but sometimes there is some bleeding within the cyst or with ovulation. These are called hemorrhagic cysts and will usually go away on their own after the next cycle or two. Your doctor will usually order a followup sonogram to ensure the cyst clears as expected.
