Initial supervision: The places where vitamin B12 injections can be given, are the muscles of the outer part of the upper thigh, the muscles of the upper part of the buttocks, the deltoid muscle in the upper outer arm, the ventro-gluteal muscle in the outer part of the hip. Initial supervision by a medical professional familiar with administering injections is mandatory, until becoming comfortable giving injections.

Almost anywhere: It is hard to go wrong with B12 injections.. anywhere there is enough fat can be used, but usually the stomach, buttock, upper arm. I teach my patients to do home B12 injections all the time. There are actually lots of You Tube videos teaching people how to give shots.
